Shaman Drums

A natural accompaniment for the Native American Flute is the heartbeat of the earth represented by these beautiful drums by Wayne Manthey.  The drums you see are made with deer hide on cedar frames with unique designs using black walnut stain.  Each is one of a kind.  As Wayne states “The animal who provided the hides did so with spirit and purpose” and “The tree donating the wood gives a connection to nature and the earth.”

Rose and I like to call them Shaman Drums.  Rose will often use the 16 inch drum to provide a beat for my special intentional fluting.  What a wonderful way to share our experience.
